Katey and Steve met in Colorado during their college years and they fell in love, both with each other and the place. For people who are active and love to be outside it seems to be a perfect place. However, they decided to come to Chicago and get married in Geneva where Katey grew up. Geneva is one of our all time favorite towns in Illinois so we were very excited when Katey and Steve asked us to document their wedding day.
They are a kind, caring and very genuine couple. While we were documenting their wedding day we saw so many times how these two care for and respect each other. Love was in the air :-).

Just before putting the dress on, Katey and her bridesmaids looked at her parents’ wedding album.
The ceremony took place at the beautiful St Peter Church in Geneva.
Katey is an avid tennis player and Steve’s game is golf so after the wedding ceremony we stopped at Geneva Golf Club for a short photo session.
They chose historic Hotel Baker in St. Charles for their reception. We really liked the setting of the hotel on the river as well as the interior and the garden. It’s a great place to photograph.
