WEATHER REPORT

“Any day I’m vertical
is a good day”
…that’s what I always say.
If you ask me,
“How are you?”
I’ll answer, “GREAT!”
because in saying so,
I make it so.
When Life gives me dark clouds and rain,
I appreciate the moisture
that brings a soft curl to my hair.
When Life gives me sunshine,
I gratefully turn my face up
to feel its warmth on my cheeks.
When Life brings fog,
I hug my sweater around me
and give thanks for the cool shroud of mystery
that makes the familiar seem different and intriguing.
When Life brings snow,
I dash outside to catch the first flakes on my tongue,
relishing the icy miracle that is a snowflake.
Life’s events and experiences
are like the weather –
they come and go,
no matter what my preference.
So, what the heck?!
I might as well decide to enjoy them.
For indeed,
there IS a time for every purpose
under Heaven.
And each season brings its own unique blessings.

  • Tabitha Isaacson - Wow, what a great poem and wonderful perspective on life in general. One that I will try to remember, especially when this Northwest rain tries to get the best of me!

    Thanks for posting.

Diana & David | Engagement Session

November in Chicago can be pretty interesting. When it comes to photographing people outside this time of the year, I often worry about the weather (if you live here, you know what I mean). Basically you hope for the best. Diana and David really wanted to catch some last colors of the fall and we were trying to find a nice place for their engagement session. I’m glad Diana mentioned Chicago Botanic Garden, because I like it a lot. It was a great choice! The weather was great, the colors were still there and most important I was photographing people in love :-).
It’s great to see the couple enjoying each other so much that they seemed to forget about me… running around with the camera ;-). I really had a good time and enjoyed their company. They are such warm and kind people.

  • Lygia - Oh my goodness! that’s my cousin david! you did it again Anna, they look lovely! What a beautiful couple! and such beautiful fall colors!!!

  • Naomi - Yay, I’m glad David took my recommendations. I didn’t find out you took his engagement photos until he told me as his engagement party. You did a great job, as usual. I still get many compliments on my wedding photos…. 🙂

  • Erica - Wow, beautiful pictures! Dave and Diana are such a perfect couple…..Great job Anna with these pictures, also…..

  • Tabitha Isaacson - Hey, I know those people!! 🙂 FANTASTIC pics, and what a beautiful couple. LOVE, LOVE LOVE the fall backdrop! 🙂

Kelly & Nathan | Wedding

Every couple hopes for a great weather on their wedding day. Kelly and Nathan are no different. We were going to go to the park and have a nice photo session with “Mother Nature”. Well, the weather did not cooperate that day. It rained… and rained… and rained.
Kelly and Nathan didn’t let their spirits to go down because of that. They were too excited about their big day. This day was filled with joy, laughter and tears.
The reception was really fun and crazy. There were moments that we laughed so hard we couldn’t see images in the viewfinder sharp.
Kelly and Nate: thank you for sharing all the emotions of your wedding day with us. We wish you all the best!
